About Ellie
Ellie Britt (she/her) is a Senior in high school and from the San Francisco Bay Area. She loves cool earrings (if you know any cool Etsy shops, please tell her) and listening to music.
When Ellie was little, she was never really sure what she wanted to be when she grew up, but eventually discovered the vast options in the political field. With Empolitics, she hopes to create a safe space for those who wish to develop their interests and passions. She also wants to introduce them to the political field and the opportunities it has to offer.
As the writing director for Empolitics, Ellie aims to bring light to people, events, and policies that are making a difference in the political world. She hopes that through Empolitics, she can keep people informed and advocate for meaningful change with her posts, articles, and reports.

What's one fun fact about yourself?
I look up to many different people, so this is so hard to choose. I would say Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim. She advocates for the rights of indigenous peoples as well as how climate change is affecting them and their daily life. Besides her activism, I admire her poise and the wealth of knowledge she possesses.
I have always loved the feeling of discovery and I am on an endless quest for knowledge. In the future, I want to study environmental science (and hopefully obtain a Ph.D.)! I would also like to minor in the politics. This combination would allow me to advocate for the environment and other social issues on a political scale as well as to conduct my own research.
I am a huge art lover, and even though I’m not the best artist I have such an appreciation for those that are. I love going to art museums and wandering in them for hours. I have a bucket list of all the art museums I want to go to around the world.
