About Swathi
Swathi Badrinarayanan (she/her) is a senior from the Bay Area. As a young girl, she was interested in the rights of ethnic and social minorities. Now, with Empolitics, she hopes to use her interest to aid youth, especially those who are underprivileged, in shaping our country's future.
Not only is Swathi interested in politics, but also STEM. She is highly interested in ophthalmology and the intersection of artificial intelligence and medicine. She conducts projects and workshops revolving around eye health and its impact on our youth. In addition, she hopes to continue to inform others on the boundless applications of artificial intelligence in our futures.
In her free time, she likes to run and catch up with her friends.

I look up to Indra Nooyi, former Pepsi CEO. She consistently conquered all challenges which came with being a woman of color in a powerful position. I aspire to embody her courage and leadership.
I want to work in the intersection of artificial intelligence and medicine. The possibilities for medical innovation are virtually endless!
I want to live in Australia when I am older! I've already visited multiple times, and each time I fall in love with the country again.
