Parul Yadav, India

Writer's picture: empolitics .empolitics .

Submission from Parul Yadav In a society where a significant number of its members are going through wretchedness of the heart, mind, and soul, and only those who have not experienced it would argue otherwise is where privilege, money, and power step in. One of the more important reasons to care about politics and eradication of inequality of all levels and create a fluid-structure is because it is killing the human spirits of politicians, advocates, and their representatives on a wide level. The very not so privileged are not able to develop these skills, abilities, and capacities because they are preoccupied with subsistence. They do not have access to education, and they lack awareness. I have personally contributed to the advancement of society, and it has helped me shape myself and grow away from the advance materially of lives. Unfortunately, the nation I am from creates so much of generalization and stereotyping of those deemed as the other. The rationale for being a feminist and arguments on how existing gender injustices, dynamics, and double standards harm us all, greatly resonate with me. The declining number of women in the actual policies workforce and all matters is dangerous for women, gender equality, and all the ways in which it does and doesn’t manifest itself. Since my college days, I have been in a sheltered environment in a women’s institution who encouraged each other to have original thoughts and aspire to be good leaders and ambitions. Parul Yadav is a Delhi based Gen-Z with a passion for women empowerment, menstrual equity, entrepreneurship, and women in politics.
